This is the standard of quality that everybody involved with Breakline Records should follow.
An EP should be exactly 8 songs.
A standard album should be exactly 12 songs, or more.
A deluxe album redistribution should be exactly 20 songs if the original was 12 songs.
A deluxe should be around double the length of the original album.
A double album should be around 40 songs.
Every new version of an album or ep should have different album art for every new distribution.
A remix of existing album art counts as new art.
Every person involved on a song should be credited in the song credits.
No names of artists or producers should be in song titles, they belong in the credits.
Every song should have a different name from other songs.
Breakline Records must be listed as the record label.
Eventually a clean version should be made.
If the artist has an artist day, there should be an album or ep release on that day every year (deluxe editions count).
A standard single should be exactly 1 song
A super single should be 1 song, and include the instrumental and a capella.
A song should have unique art from other releases.
There should be at least 2 singles for each album.
A song should have approval from 5 beta listeners, and approval from upper management before release.
A song should be sonically pleasing.
All songs must be in the WAV format.
No clipping in the mix is allowed.
All vocals should be clearly intelligible and sit well in the mix.
The mix should be tested on high quality headphones, low quality headphones, car speakers, and phone speakers.
Priority for high quality headphones should be given.
NO AI MUSIC
Album art should be 3000 x 3000 pixels.
Album art should be in the JPEG or PNG format.
Album art must include a Breakline Records logo or the text “Breakline Records”
If the release contains profanity, there must be a parental advisory sticker on the album art.
Album art should look good with rounded corners.
There cannot be a website or advertisement to an outside thing in the album art, or stores will reject it.
There should be minimal text on the art.
There must be no nudity on album art.
Standard promotion should be released simultaneously on social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, And Tik Tok
Only music videos, and explainer videos should be posted on the Startup Records youtube channel.
Every project should have at least one teaser post, one release day post, and one reminder post.
